far and wide, these folks are passionate about what they do!

  • the art of cake – sculptural masterpieces for fine social occasions
  • celebrity dairy – goat cheese produced using time-honored french farmstead techniques
  • chapel hill/carrboro farmers' market – locally grown, nationally known
  • veggyart – chef james parker who appeared on food tv's sugar rush (look for photos of his advanced class which combined our teen-chefs, chefs from washington duke inn and a whole lotta watermelons last summer)
  • la farm bakery – missy and lionel vatinet are highly esteemed colleagues and consultants for all things bread and our teens in paris tour. they are also the experts in "le pain" in our environs as well as internationally. umm, their white chocolate baguette is divine!
fickle creek farm - efland, nc - ben bergman and noah ranells work the 61 acre farm and bed and breakfast with aplomb and panache. a great home away from home. pastured hens, (and their scrumptious eggs) steers, sheep, goats and seasonal and fragrant delights from the garden
