we received this letter from a client who wanted a warm and intimate 50th birthday party class in her home:
"dear dorette and renee,
i can't thank you enough for:
1. helping me to do things my way
2. making sure 'my way' was edible, perfectly cooked, and expertly served
3. fabulous appetizers
4. dessert to rave about—but somehow light and delicious
5. making me feel at home in my own house. You both just fit in and made me feel comfortable.
thank you and very happy holidays.

P.S. Many thanks for the birthday wine. It just added to my feeling of celebration."
one-to-one cooking is:
a private cooking lesson for one or more at c'est si bon! or in your kitchen (or why not in your wine cellar!)
secrets of the csb kitchen!
we approach the kitchen much like an artist handles his/her cherished palette. the day opens with choosing rich and true seasonal ingredients which meld and blend to create a fragrant, beautiful and delicious edible landscape.
as 2008 nears we’re celebrating ten years of teaching. and the next phase of c’est si bon! there’ll be no resting on our bay laurel leaves, as we’ve set ourselves a bit of a task to archive the last years of kitchen work. in the process we’ve discovered we’ve been too busy cooking to organize properly. yikes! but it’s never too late, right? with over 1,000 recipes in our cache, we’d love to cook with you!
so, whether your culinary goal is to:
- once and for all conquer your fear of cooking (if there is nothing more frightening than the uncharted territory between the stove and fridge, this is for you!)
- make one meal rather than be a short order cook. discover nifty and thrifty dishes not too far outside the macaroni box that will engage your youngsters to eat.
- whip up heirloom family recipes or treasured culinary memories for a special occasion!
- learn how to cook from the farmer’s market
- cook one day (and we do mean COOK!) and eat the rest of the week
- develop simple healthy meals from a plan that meets your dietary needs.
our goal is for you to gain comfort and confidence in your own kitchen -by cooking in ours!
